200th Anniversary of Lucas Sullivant's Death

The Franklinton Historical Society held a memorial celebration at Greenlawn Cemetery on the 200th anniversary of Lucas Sullivant's death in 1823. Sullivant was initially interred at the Old Franklinton Cemetery, but because it had become landlocked and flood-prone, he and his family were reinterred at Green Lawn Cemetery.

Randy Rogers, Executive Director of Greenlawn Cemetery, read from an 1843 dedication ceremony for the monument erected to Lucas Sullivant and the pioneers of Franklin County in the Old Franklinton Cemetery.
